Indiegogo’s CEO is Unlike Any Other

We live in a time where sitting down at a desk with a computer in front of you is the office norm. This norm is the especially true of those working in the tech industry. When thinking about a CEO in the tech industry, it’s easy to imagine someone sitting in a lavish office, with flat-screen TV’s, tablets, laptops, and comfortable seating. However, this is not the case for all tech CEO’s. Slava Rubin is the CEO of Indiegogo, a crowdfunding website, and he believes that not having a computer and desk to work from everyday is an enormous contributor to his success.

Rubin has no desire to acquire a desk or computer. He believes in the “9-to-9 ritual”. This ritual consists of interacting with people from 9 AM to 9 PM every day of the week. Rubin doesn’t believe in completely withdrawing from technology. He uses his phone for a majority of his interactions. Rubin enjoys having face-to-face interactions when he is not on the phone, and even enjoys holding meetings while walking.

Indiegogo just closed its latest round of funding. Virgin Group‘s Richard Branson is just one of several prominent investors involved in Indiegogo.

Slava Rubin is clearly doing the right thing when it comes to his work ethic. To read more about how Rubin runs his business, click here!
