Twitter’s CFO Anthony Noto mentioned this week that there is a possibility for Twitter to start using an algorithm that will deliver specific tweets to people’s newsfeeds based on their interests. He believes that their current approach (a timeline based feed) “isn’t the most relevant experience for a user.” 

As marketers, this change could be great for the brands that want their content to be seen by a targeted audience. However, for a user, Twitter’s raw content is one of their strongest features allowing users to see organic, real-time tweets without disruption.
